Dr. Cristina Aranda – Business Consultant
Dr. Cristina Aranda is a Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence (AI) consultant, specializing in Intelligent Process Automation and Natural Language Processing and is co-founder of Mujeres Tech, a non-profit association that aims to promote initiatives that drive women to different positions in the digital sector.
Additionally, Dr. Aranda is co-founder of the ELLIS Alicante center, dedicated to addressing fundamental challenges in AI with a focus on research excellence and social impact, and a co-founder of the Spain AI Aragón community.
Dr. Aranda is an advisor on technology and diversity for different public and private institutions as well. She belongs to the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation‘s Red.es gender committee and leads technology for the Government of Aragón’s COVID-19 think tank. In October 2018, she was recognized by Business Insider as one of the 30 Spaniards and top 100 women in the world of technology to follow on Twitter. In 2019, Emprendedores magazine recognized her as one of the nine youngest entrepreneurial influencers in Spain and in December 2020 was considered one of the 20 most influential people in the Digital sector in Spain by Merca2 magazine. She was also a speaker at TEDxZaragoza2018 and TEDxEixample2021.
Dr. Aranda has a PhD in Theoretical and Applied Linguistics, a BA in Hispanic Philology and a Master’s degree in Internet Business. She is also a Social Innovation Fellow at the US Embassy in Spain. She has served as a Professor for the Professional Master’s program in Innovation and Creative Technology at Hoala, the Post Digital Communication Master’s program at UCM and also as Director and Professor for ISDI’s Data in Real Life graduate course. Dr. Aranda is currently earning yet another graduate degree in Digital Humanities from the Meridian International Center.
