Narrativa has been awarded for its coverage of the elections with AI

Fantastic news! Narrativa has just received the TM Broadcast award for its joint coverage of the municipal elections with Radio Televisión Española. The use of artificial intelligence to provide information on the least populated municipalities in Spain received the approval of the TM Broadcast jury.

The goal of our project with RTVE was to communicate more efficiently with artificial intelligence via the automatic drafting of text about electoral results. It needed  to be reliable, useful, coherent, and informative, and we are happy to tout that the endeavor succeeded in spades

After some deliberations about the projects presented, the takeaway from the jury was clear— the most powerful project with the greatest applications in the field of artificial intelligence was the RTVE elections project. “It’s fantastic, simply,” declared one of the jurors.

The RTVE project to create informative notes from data supplied in real time, (using artificial intelligence tools applied to the creation of natural language and supervised by professionals), is a solution with profound implications and utility. It serves as testimony to the vocation of public service.
