The Narrativa coronavirus monitoring project

Narrativa, the pioneering Spanish Artificial Intelligence startup, has developed a follow-up project for COVID-19 in which it provides the media and other institutions with the largest database of data, reports, graphs and images of the evolution of this disease both in Spain and in the world.

Through its website, Narrativa offers daily reports that are updated every 15 minutes (in the case of Spain, hourly for the rest of the world) and are based on data collection from various institutions, both nationally and globally, including the Ministry of Health, the Dipartimento della Protezione Civile of Italy, the Robert Koch Institute in Germany and Johns Hopkins University in the United States.

It is a not-for-profit project, so any person or institution can freely use the data. As such, the simple yet comprehensive information is directly available to citizens in Spanish, English and Italian.

The tool, designed by Narrativa, allows you to consult the COVID-19 figures in any country in the world and also collects statistics from different regions, states or, in the case of Spain, autonomous communities and provinces.

In addition to offering a general summary of the data, the information is represented visually through an interactive map offered by Carto, showing the worst hit countries alongside figures for the number of positive cases being recorded daily. Narrativa also provides images and banners that may be useful for social media.

Another feature of this project developed by Narrativa is the information alert system, which uses notifications to let you know the latest news on COVID-19. For instance, when there is a notable increase or decrease in the number of cases within a region of interest, Narrativa sends out an alert to publicize this data.
